Tanjung Priok Intercity and Interprovincial (AKAP) Bus Terminal, North Jakarta provides GeNose C19 service as COVID-19 rapid detection tool for prospective passengers and bus crews.

Tanjung Priok AKAP Bus Terminal Head, Muzofar Surya Alam said, GeNose C19 will be provided as one of terminal's service to ensure passengers and bus crews who want to travel are healthy and not exposed to COVID-19.
"We will allow prospective bus passengers and bus crews to travel after they are tested negative for COVID-19 using GeNose C19. The accuracy of the test is about 98 percent, one level below PCR," he informed, Friday (4/16).
Tanjung Priok Bus Terminal Still DesertedHe asserted that every passengers and bus crews must take GeNose C19 test if they don't have negative COVID-19 certificate from rapid antigen test. His side cooperates with health workers from sidokter.id to provide GeNose C19 test in bus terminal.
According to him, GeNose C19 can be an alternative for people to check their health condition before traveling out of town.
"The price is relatively cheap, only Rp 30,000. Moreover, the result can be known in about 3 minutes. GeNose C19 result validity period is 2x24 hours," he explained.
For perspective passengers and bus crews who want to take GeNose C19 test should show their bus ticket (for passengers) or personal identity card (for bus crews). The provision of GeNose C19 service at Tanjung Priok AKAP Bus Terminal is accordance with Circular Letter (SE) of COVID-19 Handling Task Force No. 12/2021 on Travel Provisions for Domestic Travelers During COVID-19 Pandemic and SE of Transportation Minister No. 24/2021 on Guidelines for Travel by Land Transportation During COVID-19 Pandemic.
"If the result is negative, then passengers and bus crews are allowed to continue their journey. However, if the result is positive, they will be forced for not traveling," he conveyed.
For information, GeNose C19 is a COVID-19 rapid detection tool developed by researchers at Gadjah Mada University (UGM) and it has obtained distribution permit from Health Ministry. GeNose C19 is used to detect COVID-19 symptoms only using people's breath.
